I am not sure what needs to happen but this picture reminds me that we do need to start thinking differently. For my part I try to use our car as little as possible, by living as close as I can to work (3 doors down), shopping locally, and walking instead of driving to the shops. This picture also makes me think about parking. Look at the space difference. What is our seeming obsession with occupying as much space as we can. Anyway, the image might raise some feelings for you so I posted it. It would be interesting to hear the thoughts of our children upon seeing such an image.

Hi Morgs…again a great thought provoking posting….I can remeber that on buses they used to have an ad stating something like “catch a bus and there will be 40 less cars”…your picture certainly proves it!! I have not seen the ads on the buses for sometime and had forgetten about it until I saw your positng. Many people are very visual (just look at the ads on the buses now, you sometimes cannot see the bus for the ads…!!) so a picture such as that on your positng may have a greater impact than just words alone….and it may also bring discussion between parents and the children as they are driving in the car……
