The world is a horrible place full of terrible people that only care about themselves… isn’t it? Depends on what you read, what you watch and ultimately what you believe, for I think when it comes to our world, often you can’t see the good until you believe it is there. Or maybe it is as simple as not ever sharing the good with each other. Watch the news, read the paper and generally everyone is dying from something or at the hand of someone. But is this a true image of the world, or could it be that there are plenty of things that we can be proud of the human race for. We just don’t share them with each other enough, and therefor can go about the day uninspired to help our fellow human, as they are hardly worth it.
If this is the way you see the world I would like to introduce you to Cameron Sinclair in an effort to challenge this view of the world. If you already think the world is a wonderful place full of wonderful people then Cameron is your kind of guy. So how do you get to know Cameron Sinclair and what he has been up to? Well first I have to tell you about TED.
TED is a conference that happens each year, bringing the best minds into the same room to not just listen to each other, but very much workshop ideas. TED is full of Cameron Sinclairs. I know that was a long winded way of saying, watch this video, it is cool and inspiring, but I am hoping to leave you with the knowledge that there are heaps of guys like Cameron, and that there are many networks like TED, endeavouring to make sure we know all about the Cameron Sinclairs of the world. One local example is map magazine. Another great mag is ODE. Great positive news websites like worldchanging.com, treehugger.com have way to much content to keep up with. The world is a beautiful place.
