Who is one person that inspires you and why? Carl Lindgren. He started a positive media mag and it is still going. People don’t questioned media enough and when they do they don’t always come up with the appropriate response. All the negative media needs to be balanced by positive media. Media that can me us believe in ourselves again. Carl does this. He makes us believe in ourselves. map magazine was Carl’s response to all of the negative media. You can’t fight fire with fire you know.
Topic/s that you could spend hours and hours talking about? Apple Inc, Peace, Politics, The Future and why we should actively be thinking about the future. Design – I love good design. Battlestar Galactica. Positive Media. TED.com
One of your favourite quotes? “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” – Buckminster Fuller. While I have contemplated this idea to the point of truely understanding it, I still find it very hard to do and yet it represents the only true path to lasting change.
How do you plan to make a contribution to the world? On a local level I kind of that Urban Grind is by bringing people together from different walks of life and seeing what emerges from that. I am also involved with map magazine so for me that means I get to help put positive media out there which I think is a great way to contribute positively to the world. Environmentally I am going to keep trying too.
All is fine in the world. There is peace on planet earth. All your basic needs are provided for and no one has to work unless they choose to. What would you do? Go Rockclimbing about 3 times a week.
Favourite Place to eat in the Valley/New Farm after Burger Urge? Tibetan Kitchen – love that Tofu curry.
Favourite classic arcade game? 1983 Star Wars Cockpit Version. Actually picked one up recently. Just need to get it working now.
